About Kaitlyn
I am a music education and violin performance major at Oklahoma City University teaching Violin lessons for a variety of levels! Beginners, elementary, middle, and high school students, or anyone if any age wanting to experience the joy of music that violin playing can bring!
I am a violinist at Oklahoma City University, majoring in both music education and violin performance. I have had experiences playing in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and as a soloist. The courses that I have taken for both of my degrees revolve around both child/brain development and music, providing an insight not only into how to play music, but methods of teaching it as well.

When working with a new student I strive to meet them where they are at, focusing on their passions and using what they know to build upon that. I encourage them to be an active part of their learning, asking questions and exploring different ways of approaching the many avenues that go into music.
