About Rachel
I tailor my teaching style to each student, approaching the instrument in the most efficient way for them, and teaching aural skills, eurythmics, and theory along with how to play the violin.
I began teaching at the end of my senior year in conservatory, and immediately loved it.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance, and have been playing the violin for nearly 20 years.

I start with reviewing what the student knows about music and the violin. We then proceed to playing open strings or scales, and working on the student's set up, and we go over the basics of music theory and how it applies to the violin.
I teach anyone who wants to learn, ages 3 through 100!

Details
I charge $50 for a one hour lesson, and $25 for a half hour lesson. If I am traveling to my client's home I charge an additional $10 for traveling time and cost.
