About Julia
Hello! I'm Julia Bravo, a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and current Assistant Head of Music at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts where I have the ability to work side by side with students of all ages and skill levels. Over the school year I teach trumpet lessons, freelance and work part-time for the Manhattan School of Music. I've been teaching trumpet lessons since 2015 and find a great sense of joy in passing on the tips and tricks I've learned along the way. I look forward to helping students achieve their goals and create individual lesson plans based on the students needs and talents. See you soon!
I recieved my Bachelors Degree in Classical Trumpet Performance from the Manhattan School of Music under the private instruction of David Krauss. I have also been employed at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts since 2016. There I have the privilige of playing side by side and teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Since beginning in 2016 as a specialty counselor I have since moved on to become the Assistant Head of Music at the camp, overseeing the production and admin side of things and ensuring that our students and staff have everything they need to be successful! On top of these experiences I also am a freelance musician in New York City, playing in a variety of spaces and performances, teaching lesssons and meeting new musicians every day. I look forward to sharing what I've learned through these experiences with all of my students!

When I begin lessons with a new student I like to start off with some brief introductions and a conversation about the students goals both short and long term. All students begin at different levels and deserve a routine curated for them. My goal is to provide students with everyhthing they need to be successful, starting with a strong foundation of fundamentals and routine in their practicing.
