About Preston
I work with young athletes not only on their strokes but on their mental game. Tennis can be taught to reinforce bad mental habits, or it can be taught as part of physical and mental maturation. Tennis has more in common with chess and puzzles, than it does with most other sports. Understanding tennis this way, instead of as just another test of strength, makes the game a valuable learning opportunity for self-mastery, game theory, psychology, mind-body integration, stress management, etc., while simultaneously making the game more fun. I know from experience that serving 300 balls a day is only fun and useful practice if the player is properly engaged in how improving happens, why he/she wants to improve, and where a new skill fits into their game strategy.
Worked and trained under renowned, ground-breaking tennis instructor Gilbert Rincon.
