About Chrystina
I have over 15 years teaching lessons and coaching at multiple locations and was a full-time swim coach for over 3 years. All of this was for children from 5-18. I swam competitively from age 4 until my sophomore year at George Mason when I had to stop because of a shoulder injury. My aim is to be sure that children are comfortable in the water, know and can practice general safety techniques, and learn proper strokes if desired.
I love watching children develop and nurture a love for the water! Seeing a child's eyes light up when they catch on to any new skill from blowing bubbles to swimming a stroke properly is amazing. I am also very passionate about every child learning at least the basics of swimming, especially in a coastal area.
