About Paige

I am currently a Special Education Teacher in Pennsylvania. This will be my fifth year teaching in a brick and mortar setting. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in both Elementary and Special Education. I am currently obtaining my Master’s Degree in Instructional Media with a Stem Endorsement.

I have a strong background in Fine and Performing Arts. As part of the Juniata College Concert Choir, I have traveled the world working with children ages five to eighteen in school settings bridging cultural and language barriers with music.

My Juniata travel experiences allowed me to live with families for several weeks at a time to experience life and culture unique to their country. I lived with families in Vietnam, Morocco, Germany, and Ireland. I worked with students in Switzerland and France. You will note in my transcripts, that I have taken two English Language Learners courses and a Sign Language course at Juniata. I can use my knowledge of different cultures to better relate to students and families with diverse backgrounds.

I student taught with Learning and Emotional Support students during this global pandemic. Through technology, I have continued to build rapport and create/differentiate lessons to meet the needs of my students. My newly acquired skills would also be an asset to any classroom. Prior to the pandemic, I student taught in a third-grade general education classroom.

Not only was I a student performer at Juniata, I also held a job as a Resident Assistant. This position gave me experience with building a living community, planning informational and rapport building programs for residents. I helped students from different countries navigate their way in a traditional American college setting. With these responsibilities, I also had to deal with abuse/mental health crisis issues. These experiences will also be valuable in a classroom and school setting.
