Jesse has been/is a terrific tutor on my journey to learn and speak Spanish. He makes an effort to meet me where I am both at my knowledge level and dedication/time availability amount. He is able to provide a great balance of corrective while encouraging and keeps that balance in our lessons often breaking up the hour with a song (sung in Spanish of course). He is organized and has an agenda for our meeting time. On top of all that, he has a positive and authentic presence about him making it much easier to connect and digest the material. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.

My tutor, Mr. Jesse Howes, is awesome and helped me a lot in my 8th grade year. Ever since I started taking his classes, I was able to get A's on every one of my writing assignments and got educated on various writing skills/techniques.

Jesse has been more than helpful. We moved back from overseas and our oldest started a new middle school virtually. Jesse has been a great support and teacher for him. He has made the transition to a new place, new school, and virtual learning so much easier. He has helped my some in more way than just math and Spanish. They have a great connection and it’s good to see my son happy to meet with him once a week. It’s been so helpful to have one on one help with someone who is charismatic and truly loves teaching. I know I am probably not the traditional student that Jesse will meet with, but I wanted to try a different way to immerse myself in Spanish and Jesse was more than willing to adapt to my needs on this journey. He has the knowledge of many different Spanish contexts, across Latin America and Spanish Europe. I appreciate his approachability and the ease with which our meetings have transpired. My daughter is in a Spanish Immersion Program at her elementary school. Jesse is tutoring my daughter English. He is fantastic! Nothing else worked until I found Jesse at Quality Tutors! As an English teacher in a bilingual school, I have been trying to learn Spanish for the past 5 years in order to better communicate with colleagues and parents that are Native Spanish speakers and to provide bilingual materials and supports to my ELL students. I tried Duolingo, Babbel, and some in-person sessions but continued to struggle making progress in my conversational speaking abilities. After 4 months, and over 30 lessons with Jesse, we have broken my plateaued skills and improved my Spanish communication in listening, reading, and speaking. Jesse is an excellent teacher. He was very patient with my six years old daughter in her first class. She was very distracted but he managed to get her to focus and to evaluate her level of reading. He provided us with a lot of wonderful resources to strengthen her reading and comprehension skills. He was open to hear my expectations and promised to incorporate them into the learning process. I highly recommend him for teaching young kids and adults as well.
