About Daniela

I have thought and tutored for many years and I have found that students may learn in different ways and all can excel. I like to present material in an engaging and relevant manner so that we can all learn and achieve success.

One-on-one tutoring is an effective technique, particularly for explaining and modeling math, and I enjoy seeing students’ attitudes toward school brighten when they see immediate progress in their work.

I currently teach Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Spanish 1 and 2, Career Skills, Career and Financial Management, etc.

As a Math and Spanish tutor, there is nothing more joyful than when a student finally understands the material in a way that makes sense to them. Many times, students need flexibility and patience in order to grasp a foreign concept. I am a firm believer in the power of education, and I hope to share my love of learning with all of my students.

I acted upon my Principal's advice. She told me 5 years ago that if I were to be a teacher, I would be a highly effective one. I have been teaching ever since and received highly effective in my rating two years in a row.

To look for someone who is patient, enthusiastic for the job, able to be flexible, open to feedback and knowledgeable about what is being taught.

I recently volunteered as a Math tutor for a small academy. The work I did was free and not tax deductible. However, the work itself was rewarding and I learned a lot in the process.
