About Genesis
I care about the individuals progress, understand where they're coming from and where they want to be at the end of the course, and I'm here to also build a relationship with them!
I love teaching, it's my passion. I love seeing progress and stretching the student without breaking them. It's a very rewarding job.
I've worked with the Boys and Girls Club as a SPARK english tutor at Mitchell school. I had 10 students varying from k5-3rd grade.
I am currently going for an early education teaching degree and will be working at a day care in January.

I like to learn them as a unique individual with needs, expectations, and feelings. The way I work with people is by building trust and a founding relationship with them. It allows the environment to be free, fun, and reminds the student that they're in a judge free zone!
Once I know them, I pay close attention to those hidden details that causes them to remain where they're at. Once I know their struggles, we attack it together.

Be with somebody you're completely confortable with because learning can feel vulnerable sometimes. Feel free to be vulnerable and let the instructor know your weaknesses and be fine if it takes you a while to understand and defeat your academic battles.
A k5 student started school 2 months before school ended in a June. He came in knowing 1 letter and by the end of the school year, he ended up passing on to 1st grade!
