About David

I can help you with your pronunciation skills, your grammar skills, and I can take on whichever base vocabulary that you are working with. I will even adapt and learn more, myself, should you be working with advanced legal or medical vocabulary.

I began learning Spanish myself at the age of 13.

I have taught Yoga in Spanish in Mexico City for 5 years.

While there, I met my first Circus coaches, and began to truly unite myself with my dream.

Today I live in Virginia. I set up Flow Jams in the park in D.C., where my friends, and anyone who would like to play, can come try my balance instruments and juggling props.

My whole life the one school subject that has come easiest to me is Spanish. I am really good at grammar.

My favorite way to learn is through Theatre. In college I majored as an actor, with a double-major bachelor's degree in Theatre, and Spanish, from SDSU.

Yoga was fun, but after an 11-year championship-level career in Bikram Yoga and other styles, I have found myself unimpressed with it.

About the lesson

I ask my student how his or her day is going.

My student will let me know what he or she is working on.

I believe in repetition of the basics. We can do as much "repeat-after-me" as you like.

If you are doing grammar, then let's make some grammar cards, for whichever tense you are working on, with each and every "-er," "-ir," and "-ar" verb that you know!

We will work together to get to the point where we can speak with one another in Spanish for the whole lesson. We can start así, as soon as you wish!

Let me know what subjects that you are intending to discuss in Spanish, I will acclomate myself to all of your course materials!

I made a Nicaraguan friend in the park while I was practicing Circus and hanging out with my friends. My other Gringo friend speaks with her in Spanish all the time, because he likes to practice his Spanish. So, the moment I met her, I said, "Flavia, even though I know Spanish, I will always speak with you in English, so that you get more practice whenever you see me!" 5 months later, we are still friends, I have seen her English-speaking skills develop tremendously. We are all very excited, because she works for the Nicaraguan Embassy in Washington, D.C. We all think that she will be the next U.S. Ambassador to Nicaragua!
