About Gabriel

I deliver quick results and cut to the chase. No filler.

There is nothing that I love more than seeing a blocked or inhibited singer become free and empowered.

I fell in love with the process of voice lessons when I took my first voice lesson in college. I was one of the people that had no idea that there was such a thing as voice lessons.

I became so fascinated with the world of voice that in 2005, I joined a popular forum and became a regular contributor. Very quickly I began to get a lot of feedback that I was very knowledgeable and became an authority figure on the forum.

I began teaching lessons in Skype and then in person and the rest is history.

I have a BFA in Theater and I specialized in voice.

I have trained with many leading contemporary voice teachers in the country and have logged over ten thousand hours of vocalizing and learning.

I consider myself a perpetual student of the voice.

About the lesson

The first thing I do is ask my student what brings them to voice lessons and what they're history with singing is.

Then I ask them about some of the things they'd like to improve and about any specific goals they have in mind.

Then I get to work! I initially do some diagnostic vocal exercises that show me where my student's strengths and weaknesses are and I determine the vocal exercises to prescribe them from there.

I have had all types of students, from amateurs to professionals, both unknown and celebrities. I only work with students 14 and up.

Do not get a classical singing teacher for contemporary music.

Ask a lot of questions.

Don't be afraid to move on to another teacher if it's not working, but don't move on to another teacher if things are making sense to you and clicking.

Don't have a specific one since in most of my lessons there is something I am fond of. I love what I do and I am moved in most of my lessons.
