About Kristin

I make custom freestanding lace embroidery. I also have over 35 years of sewing, quilting and embroidery experience that I would love to share with others.

I love the infinite creativity that sewing holds. You can use the same pattern 10 times, and by changing the fabric, or tweaking the pattern in little ways you can end up with 10 completely different finished projects!

I love helping new sewists learn this time honored skill. Seeing their joy in creating something from the countless materials available today is what gives me pleasure.

I have been sewing for over 40 years, and have become a designer in my own right with a successful career in sewing and embroidery design. I have made everything from teddy bears to wedding dresses and just about everything in between. I recently got into bagmaking and have added designing pdf sewing patterns to my resume.

Designing is my main passion, it's fun and challenging to try and figure out how to make something that someone can use to create something that they can enjoy for years.

I've always tried helping others learn new things as I usually understood them quicker than most.

I have been sewing and embroidering for over 40 years, I went to school for theatre arts and graduated with honors. I sew daily and continue my own education by learning new techniques from others in my field.

About the lesson

I like to get to know the student a bit and then tailor (pardon the pun) a program for them. It does no good to teach someone how to make clothing, if they want to make quilts. 🤷‍♀️

I charge $15/hour, for online one on one classes or I can do an in person 4-hour workshop for $75 plus travel.
