About Sandra
I love to sew. There is nothing like creating something from pieces of fabric. I am mostly self-taught so my experience comes from trial and error which I believe is one of the best ways to learn. I love to teach others how they can use their own imagination to create something they can be proud of.
I have been sewing for over 30 years. I started with making my daughters dresses when they were little. I have since created beautiful wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, quilts and stuffed animals. I have worked with several different sewing machines including Bernina, Baby Lock, Janome and Kenmore. I have also been working with home embroidery machines.
My experience comes for doing. I have worked with many types of patterns and have also created my own designs by re-creating a pattern to fit what I envision.

About the lesson

If the student wants lessons on their own machine, I think it is best to meet at their location. I start with the basics of understanding the sewing machine and all it's parts. Then move on to sewing basic stitches. Once the student feels comfortable, we would move on to a simple pattern.
