About Tracy

I offer sewing lessons online nationwide and in-person in the Fort Lauderdale area.

I have 5 cameras with multiple views for online classes. My online students progress at the same rate as in-person students.

I love working with kids and adults. I can break each project down into small steps that are easy enough for 8 year olds to do. Most adults can do them too:).

I love the excitement of my students watching their projects come together. There are moments of pure chaos when it seems like no progress is being made and then all of a sudden, it's done and everyone is amazed.

I have been teaching since 2009. I don't remember learning to sew. My grandmothers taught me back in the mist of time. I have been teaching after school at several local schools for about 10 years.

About the lesson

New students with a sewing machine start with the how not to break the sewing machine lesson. Then we do simple straight line sewing projects, usually a skirt, pillow or drawstring bag. At that point, we start working on the student's goals.

If the student doesn't yet have a sewing machine, we discuss what would be a good choice and the other items that will be necessary to have.

Perfect! Tracy with One Stitch at a time is an amzaing teacher. I enjoyed our class, and her years of experience brings a wealth of knowledge to the teaching that is priceless. She is a joy to work with and has great lesson plans. Within a couple classes I was able to sew a simple skirt and actually wear it. I would highly recommend her to learn how to sew at any level.
