About Angela
I am an experienced seamstress with over 40 years of sewing. I am a Master Clothing Volunteer for Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association, as well Meade County KY 4H sewing volunteer. I am skilled in modern sewing text as well as 18th and 19th century clothing construction and techniques. I am proficient on multiple brands of seeing machines. I can teach adults and children, beginning to advanced sewing. I am also an avid quilted with 20 years experience in piecing and hand quilting.
I am a teacher by education and profession. I teach Elementary school. I hold a BA History (Univ. of Louisville 2010) Master Education (2012) Master History (Liberty Univ. 2020)
40 years of personal seeing experience. 20 years of workshops and conferences that focused on 18th and 29th century sewing techniques. 2 year Master Clothing Volunteer training and practice to receive certification.

About the lesson

I like to access what if any skill level my students have with sewing. Based on their answers I can determine what level they need to start at. For beginners I start with basic tools and equipment and how to use them. Once the student is comfortable, I assign simple sewing projects designed to help them hone their skill with a machine and fabric. As their ability increases, assigned projects will reflect the new skill level.
