About Lachezar

I am currently a Georgia Tech Physics Bachelors of Science student.

In high school, I had a 4.6 GPA, was a National Merit Scholar Finalist, had a 1540 SAT, and was in an accelerated math/science research magnet school program. I scored 800 in math every time I took the SAT. I am a Bulgarian immigrant. My family and I came to this country, I learned English, and took a standardized test in it and scored better than 99% of native English speakers.

I've had great success with the clients I tutored and have flexible hours.

About the lesson

First contact (Free)

This is a get-to-know you session. We'll talk about our expectations for our sessions, duration, your particular goals, and we will begin planning our journey.

Session Meetings

Typically 30 minute or 1 hour long sessions weekly or biweekly. In the first few minutes, we'll discuss our goals for the day's session. Next, depending on the needs of the student, we can work practice problems, learn about a specific topic, talk about test strategy, and so on. Once a month, we'll discuss a practice test or section and go over mistakes.

I practice an inquiry-based style of tutalage. I find that asking questions to expand learning engages the student more and helps with learning.

Pre-test/Last session

Here we'll talk strategy, preparation for test day, and discuss any lingering anxieties about the test. This session is used to empower the student to make them feel confident in the work they have put in.

I have worked with high-school students from freshman to senior and freshman college students. I can empathize very closely with the student's needs and worries and have found great success in addressing them.
