About Donna
I am a licensed Reading Specialist. I have been teaching reading for over 6 years. I hold a Masters degree in Elementary Ed. I have over 10 years teaching experience. As a former struggling reader myself, I have had to acquire reading strategies to help me succeed in college and beyond.

At first I would do a reading assessment to see what the specific needs are. This is usually the QRI or DAR. I would talk to the student about their interest, hobbies, favorite school subjects to get to know who they are and establish a reporte. Finally taking a look at their school curriculum to see how I could support them in any content areas if needed.
