About Janelle
I currently teach 5th grade in a public school in the South Bronx. I am in my 10th year of teaching and I am NYC certified. I have taught grades 1-4. I am well versed in all content areas K-6. I have recently received my second masters as a Math Specialist.
I love being able to help students but it also brings me so much joy when I am able to teach content in ways for students to understand. When the lightbulb goes off and I see students trying and using the strategies I taught them truly makes me a proud teacher.
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I went to college as an undergrad I started preparing for a degree that would get me into the teaching field.
I have a professional teaching license for K-6th grade. I received my first masters in childhood education. I am currently getting my second masters as an elementary math specialist.
