About Delaney
I am a certified elementary education teacher, specializing in math. I am also certified to teach middle school mathamatics. I am certified to teach in Michigan, but have also taught this past year at a charter school in Brooklyn. I have taught 4th, 5th, and most recently, 2nd grade. Before teaching, I tutored at a high school after school program in Michigan for three years. I have also worked at a daycare with children 6 months-6 years. I help students achieve their academic goals by monitoring their progress with an individual study plan and standards-aligned assessments that measure their academic progress. If you are looking for a certified, quality tutor I would be happy to meet you!
I started teaching in Michigan, studying for my degree and teaching at an after school program.

I begin with a discussion over the student's academic goals. Then I start with preliminary, standards aligned assessment(s) to identify the student's academic strengths and areas for improvement. Once their areas of improvements are identified, a study plan is set up, reviewed with all parties, and tutoring begins!
I've worked with students of all ages, from a daycare, to elementary, to high school.
Look for a tutor that works towards your goals and has a compatible schedule.
I love Broadway! Any Broadway show I can see for a reasonable price I jump at the chance! Most recently I rushed tickets for To Kill A Mockingbird and loved it!
