About Melissa
Hello! My name is Missy Shapow, and I have loved playing piano for 46 years. (I am 51.) I am a retired elementary music teacher of 26 years, and began teaching piano lessons in 1984. I earned my bachelors degree in music and elementary education, and I earned my master's degree in the art of teaching. I have experience teaching 5 year olds through adults and can also help high school and college students with music theory. Although classically trained, I have also played keyboards in rock bands and praise bands and can also teach chords and keyboard techniques. I would love to have the opportunity to teach you or your child to make music on the most beautiful instrument ever, the piano.
I have a passion for passing on a love for music to others, both kids and adults.
