About Felicia

Unlike most teachers, we provide in-person one on one piano or guitar lessons at our studio. We hold regular recitals and close only a couple of weeks a year. We do not require any contracts, students are month to month, and we first get to know each other at a free meet and greet mini lesson. Most of our students come for half hour lessons, but advanced students do come 45 - 60 minutes. We have over 25 years teaching Children, Adults, and Seniors in Monmouth County New Jersey. We also teach all forms of music including Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Rock on both Piano and Guitar. Listen to some of our piano students on our facebook page:

We are a family owned and operated business and our students become our family. Seeing them effected by the contagious power of music is our reward.

My degree is in Education from Baruch College with a minor in music. My musical training began at age 7, where I was taught privately by my father. My father was a music director in Italy and a private piano teacher in New York City for many years. He developed his teaching method training my prodigal brother for international competition in classical accordion.

I continue my studies on piano for 48 years and play primarily for my own enjoyment, but I always kept a watchful eye on the ease at which my fathers students learned.

I have taken my fathers (old world) method and made minor adjustments to insure the smooth transition between various playing levels. The goals: are to understand the entire keyboard, recognize notes fluently, including ledger line notes, recognize chords and be able to play them, understand tempo, meter signatures, key signatures, music terms, and improvise. My method is classically based; however, I am not so stringent as to not introduce popular, jazz, and standards to my students. I feel all forms of music help develop certain technique, and I present music education in a fun and enthusiastic way.

Degree in education and music. We have been providing piano lessons in Monmouth County New Jersey for almost 25 years.

About the lesson

Text us and ask for a free meet and greet at our studio. You get to meet us and we get to meet you. If we both feel we are right for each other, then we can get started.

We provide in-person live learning at our studio. We believe the best way to learn an instrument is live and in person. We do provide lessons in your home if our schedules permit and in some cases on-line learning. However, we believe students taking lessons in our professional studio environment makes them take lessons more seriously than if they are in the familiar environment of their home.

Children as young as 4 years old and adults into their 70's.

Beginners, Intermediates and advanced players

A musician's career often depends on a chain of events that may date back to beginning instruction. The training and development of a pianist is entrusted exclusively to the independent teacher. Therefore it is vitally important for a student to have a competent and qualified teacher, because the teacher can "make or break" a pianist. The total composite of one's training, background, personality, and motivation are combined to produce a skilled musician.

One of our students recently wrote 2 scores for HBO television shows.

One of my students is pursuing acting and credits her music lessons and her teachers mentoring to her success.

One of our students got to play for Lang Lang.

Many others....

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How long have you been teaching?

What ages and levels do you specialise in?

What teaching method do you use?

Be careful of teachers that are doing this as a hobby or to make some extra money. Teaching is very different from performing. Just because a teacher plays well for you, does not mean they know how to teach the instrument.
