About Derrell
My name is Derrell and I am from Somerset, NJ. I've been playing piano for over 15 years and I have my Bachelors in Piano Performance. I'm experienced with teaching children of all ages and experience levels. I am fluent in classical, jazz, gospel and rock. I also read piano music on an advanced level. Currently, I am an organ/piano musician at my church and I play there on a weekly basis.
Students will learn how to read piano music on all different levels and how to properly play the piano. They will learn a variety of songs and proper technique.
I started teaching 4 years ago when I was a pre k teacher at a daycare. Then I had a parent one of my pre k students in my class inquire about in home piano lessons. Ever since then, I've been teaching private lessons.
