About Frank

I've been shooting commercially a bit over 40 years. It's a great life. I love it. My client list has included Banner Health, Expedia, American Express, SCORE, CNA Insurance, Westcor, Farnam Companies, Hypercom, Best Western, Western National Insurance, Chicago Apparel Center, America West Airlines, Armour Dial Corp., dozens of magazines and retailers around the world, and more. My fashion work has appeared in Vogue, Bride, Modern Bride, W, WWD, and many more magazines worldwide. I've shot pretty much everything imaginable from 60' underwater (Ask me sometime about the Moray Eel that thought it would be fun to slide up into my bouyancy vest) to the top of snow covered mountains (Decided to ski down. Big mistake. After falling, walking, crashing into trees, and tumbling most of the way, I made it down in only 3 hours}.

Pretty much everything. It's like I've never worked a day in my life, every day I'm doing what I love.

I wanted to share what I've learned and give back to the community.

I've been shooting commercially for over 40 years. I taught college level commercial photography in Scottsdale, AZ for 8 years.

About the lesson

We'll sit and talk a bit so I can get to know them and find out what sort of photography they're interested in learning. Once we feel comfortable with the direction we've chosen we'll go out and create some images together. Then, I'll have them create some on their own as "homework".

We'll then get together and critique, explore, and talk about what could be improved, what went well, what didn't, etc.

All types.

Take your time, don't rush to the first person who comes along flaunting their expertise. Talk to a few people and get a feel for which one "works" for you.

It hasn't happened yet, but if Trump gets impeached I'd really enjoy that.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think they should have a good feel for the type of imagery they want to create so they can find a teacher who knows that area.

For instance; I'm a commercial shooter. I know portraiture, product, architecture, lifestyle, fashion. But I suck at street photography. If someone wants to learn the type of photography I know, we're in good shape. If they want to learn to shoot like Henri Cartier-Bresson I'm not the guy to ask.
