About Zykia
My passion is helping older adults in the Washington DC area maintain their strength and independence so they can continue to do the activities they love!
As a physical therapist for 5+ years and a board certified geriatric specialist, I have the knowledge and experience to help you optimize your health!

I love helping people and showing that that age is just a number and they are much stronger than they think!
I became a physical therapist because of my passion for helping people. I decided to specialize in geriatrics because it is important for older adults to stay active in order to stay independent. And there is a misconception that as we get older it is normal or accepted for us to become less mobile and active- to stay independent you have to stay active!
I am a doctor of physical therapy, board certified geriatric specialist, and personal trainer.

We will have a phone or video consultation to discuss your concerns, your goals, and your expectations to ensure that we are able to provide the best care! From there we will discuss packages and schedule your sessions. We provide in-home fitness sessions and are following all recommended procedures such as wearing masks, face shield, gloves, using hospital grade disinfectant to clean equipment before and after each session, and performing COVID-19 screening questionnaire as well as taking temperatures.
I worked with a variety of patients or client such as those with: neurological disorders, post-stroke, Parkinson's, dementia, knee replacement, hip replacement, fractures, back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, hip pain, unsteady balance, gait disorders, weakness, and many more.
