About Lorenza
I am a retired elementary school teacher who loves working with children. I taught at the elementary level for 25 years. I was a bilingual teacher who taught in both Spanish and English. I mostly taught 5th grade, but have experience in grades 3-6. My favorite subject is math. I enjoy working with numbers and I have a proven track record of teaching this material to students. I also love reading and am very knowledgeable on children's literature and how to help reluctant readers.
I have many years of experience in working with students at various levels of reading and math. I particularly excel in helping students who working below grade level expectations. I really enjoy getting to know each student and helping them improve their skills.

I would try to get as much information from the parent or student before meeting for the first time. At the first session I would do some informal assessments to get a better idea of a student's level and what he/she needs to work on. I would also be able to assist in homework completion if needed.
