About Zosia

Hi! My name is Zosia DeWitt, and I am a sophomore at North Carolina State University. I am from Durham, NC. I am a Psychology and Spanish major, passionate about psychology and mental health, Spanish, and social justice. I have been a dancer for my whole life, sang competitively in high school, participated in theatre productions, and also ran varsity cross country all four years of high school, so I have insight about the pressures and challenges that students can face in middle and high school. I love to work with people of any age, ability, and background, and I am interested in becoming a mental health nurse practitioner, practicing in Spanish and English. I love being in school. Being a student is when I feel the most productive, the most myself, and the most passionate about the things I love.

I went to Durham School of the Arts for high school, a small art-focused magnet school in Durham, NC, where I “majored” in Dance and Theatre. I have tutored for Beth El Synagogue as a tutor for Jewish students preparing for their bar/bat mitzvahs, as a tutor for Spanish speaking students, and as a high school spanish tutor through National Spanish Honor Society. I have also worked with kids my whole life, babysitting at my synagogue, for individual families, and volunteering at summer camps.

I am a tutor because I love teaching, and I genuinely enjoy the subjects that I want to tutor people in. I love working with people - I am extremely extroverted, but also patient and kind, and I understand what it’s like to struggle in school and that it can be hard to seek and receive support. I will bring kindness, organization, knowledge, patience, belief in student’s abilities, and commitment to our tutoring session. I cannot wait to work with you and learn together!
