About Julia
Hello!
My name is Julia.
I am an elementary tutor and mindfulness lover.
I tutor students grades k-6 and have my masters in elementary education.
I am also a meditation teacher. Life can be extremely overwhelming at times. However, I truly believe we have it within ourselves to calm our bodies and mind. Meditation gives us that gift. I offer a variety of guided meditations tailored to your needs and mindfulness tips to help you navigate life with ease.
Mindfulness, meditation, writing, and yoga are all passions of mine. I have received my MA in Elementary Education and BA in Psychology. I have a certificate in Mindfulness from Molloy College and I am a certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher from The School of Transformation.
I feel overjoyed and grateful to help like-minded people develop a deeper sense of calm, presence, and ease.

I first like to get to know my students. What are your likes and dislikes as well as who you are as a person. I also like to discuss what you like to invite into your life as well as what you may want to shed.
I also like to explain the fundamentals and benefits of mindfulness and how meditation works.
I then design a guided individualized meditation program to help my students develop and cultivate more of what they want in their lives.
When we meet for each session, we will have a daily check-in, followed by a guided meditation and a closing check-in.

I like how she was flexible with the lesson and would change it when needed to fit the developmental level of the student. She made the lessons fun and had the student engaged in the lesson. When she used a video to teach long and short vowels, the video had the kids exercise while saying the vowels and she exercised with the student to keep him engaged while learning.
Julia is professional, friendly, and engaging. She is able to connect with and keep my 7-year-old's attention with ease. Julia is able to quickly assess and recognize where the student lacks firm understanding of the fundamentals and addresses any comprehension issues before pushing forward. I would highly recommend Julia as a tutor.
