About Stoddard
I am a professional, Berklee-trained pianist ands songwriter. In SongRiders, I teach musical improvisers over 60 about the building blocks of songwriting! We focus on songwriting tools to improvise memorable and more effective songs that use tried and true music theory techniques.
I taught SongRiders courses online through the pandemic with Vintage Improv Festival (and recently taught in person at their 2024 retreat in Maine), alongside online music classes for my children's music business, Sunny Songsters. I also co-teach with Carl Kissin and provide piano accompaniment for his monthly musical improv intensive.
In SongRiders, you get in depth training for how to both flow and think critically about songwriting while improvising songs on the spot.
