About Jody
Music has always been part of my life. I have a doctorate in education and taught gifted education for 26 years before retiring in 2005. Since then I have taught lessons for guitar, ukulele, piano, and dulcimer. I love helping people of all ages develop their love of music and learn a skill that they can enjoy for a lifetime.
My students have earned music camp scholarships, placed in talent compitions, and performed in a variety of venues.
I would love to help you or your child make music a part of your life.

I've played guitar, dulcimer, and piano for over 50 years and ukulele for ten. I've studied acoustic fingerstyle guitar from some of the top players in the acoustic guitar world. I have a doctorate in education, 26'years experience teaching gifted education, and have taught music lessons since 2005.

With younger students, we will
work from a method book. This will give children a
firm background in reading music, a skill that's invaluable in playing music, regardless of the instrument. With adults, I find out personal musical goals, and we head in that direction. I want you to be playing the music you love as soon as possible.
