About Kathryn
Hi! I'm a retired math teacher now working as a math tutor. I have over 20 years of experience in teaching mathematics to middle school students in TUSD and am now ready to work with students on an individual basis. I am very familiar with common misconceptions in mathematical understanding among adolescents and have many different approaches for addressing student deficiencies.
I love math and teaching and working with young people! I think everyone can enjoy mathematics if it is taught in a way that allows students to comprehend it's logic and beauty.
I am a retired teacher and have taught 1st - 8th grades. My middle school experience includes 20 years of teaching 6th - 8th grade math and high school algebra. I've worked for the past 4 years as a tutor in a private school.
