- Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in Aeronautics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo

- Currently employed at The Boeing Company as a BR&T Advanced Propulsion Engineer

- Ethnicity: Mexican-Guatemalan American

- Born in Los Angeles

- 3 year experienced college tutor, tutoring subjects ranging from lower and upper level math, physics, aerospace engineering courses, engineering courses, and Matlab coding.

- Upward bound tutor and mentor to students from underrepresented backgrounds and minority groups to inspire students to excel academically and go to college

- Experienced in tutoring using either online platforms such as zoom meetings, google chats, etc and in traditional in person tutoring

- Underwent training to adapt and learn students different learning styles such as visual, aural, verbal, and logical

- Ability to adapt to students learning style As I have tutored students ranging from middle school to college.

-----Adaptive Learning Plan-----------

1) First 10 minutes spent discussing student's coursework, recent material covered in class, and any difficulties or achievements that student faces with material

2) 5 minutes discussing and focusing on key aspects and concepts that student and tutor both agreed might need some clarification or help.

3) 20 minutes going through a problem to assess students approach while discussing why the student approach the problem in a certain manner, any difficulties in the problem, concepts that are unclear, and helping student work through a problem without showing them the solution *Solution method is discussed later

4) 5 minutes discussing both positive and negative aspects of the problem or concept

5) Rest of time tutor explains concepts throughly and works through problems of various difficulty, explaining step by step solution and thought process. Then work with student on problems or to clarify concepts that were unclear

Early in my academic journey, math and science proved to be some of the most interesting fields of study for me, but the concepts and math behind them were difficult. Luckily with the help of tutors and my mentor, I started to understand the relationship between math and science to the real world and gained a passion for wanting to learn instead of being told to learn. I believe through tutoring and mentoring, students have the capability of achieving things they never thought possible.

Worked with students ranging from 8th grade to college seniors.

1) Have an understanding of your learning style and find a tutor who can teach to your learning style. Will help with effectiveness of each tutoring session as tutor will be able to teach in a manner that helps you grasp the concept much faster.
