About Tara

I have 17 years of education experience.

Provide one on one support or group support.

My services are tailored to meet the needs of the client.

In 2001, My children told their classmates that I have great explanation skills when it comes to math and science. The neighborhood parents as if I would agree to start an afterschool tutoring program. After several months I reached out to my local school district and registered for the teaching program.

Since, the first day of school I have enjoyed empowering students and supporting parents in helping their children reach their academic potential.

I have been an educator for 17 years and have been tutoring students/adults for the past 5 years.

About the lesson

The process begins with needs assessment of the students. Find out the parents concerns and then create a schedule of instructional support bases on the agreement made with parents.

Provide weekly and montly goals report to parent.

Set celebration goals for the students.

I have experience with all age groups of students. Most reachly students with autism and special needs.

Identify their areas of strength and areas of weakness in math/science.

The most recent event I thorougly enjoyed is having virtual school with my 3 1/2 grandson who lives in Las Vegas. Teaching him is alphabets, 7 sight words per week and finger painting.

Ms. Hunter is great! I was struggling with taking the ACT, I took it three times and my score did not change. I spent a few weeks studying with Ms. Hunter for the test and my score went from a 16 to a 22! I finally was eligible to apply for scholarships to college!

Tara is an excellent educator. As her daughter I’ve watched her care and educate students as well as encourage parents as they guide their children on a successful educational path. She has also been a great teacher to my preschool aged son. She helped him reach early milestones such as counting and learning vocabulary. I highly recommend Tara to be apart of your child’s educational journey.
