About Alison

Hello! I am certified teacher who loves to tutor in Math and Art. I have taught students in grades K-10. I have taught remedial Math for 4 years to students in grades K-7. I have taught Visual Art for 8 years. I have Special Education experience, also. I love thinking outside the box to break things down so that students can understand math and art concepts.

I live for the "ah-ha!" moments!

I love leading people to exceed expectations they'd had for themselves! For me, it is an honor to help someone develop a skill that will last a lifetime. I love to help people learn!

About the lesson

I learn what a student's goals are, then informally assess the student's current knowledge of the subject, and teach using a style that matches the student's learning style, beginning where he or she is.

Ms. Alison is a wonderful instructor! She taught both of my girls, and the most important thing is that she was kind, nurturing, and caring! She also taught them to think out of the box and let their own individuality shine! My girls are 5 years apart, and Ms. Alison has a gift of reaching folks of all ages! She is absolutely amazing!
