About Beatriz
Hi,
My name is Beatriz and I have a MS in Materials Science and Engineering and BS in Materials Science with an emphasis in Nanotechnology and a minor in Natural Science and Education. I hold the California seal of biliteracy in Spanish since 2012. I am currently pending MS in Materials Science as well.
Teaching and mentoring experience:
-As a teaching assistant (TA) have experience mentoring multidisciplinary engineering groups that work on real-life projects for non-profit organizations. Two teams that I have mentored won first place in Innovate to Grow, an engineering design competition held each semester at my current university
-Mentored 3 undergraduate students. One graduated in Spring 2020 and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Materials Science.
- Field experience in teaching elementary and middle school sciences
Seeing students grow and become independent.
