About Carter
I provide personalized tutoring from the students' perspective, being a college student myself I understand what it is like to be in school and I know how to give students the answers that they need. I will provide direct answers in an effecient manner that will allow students to learn and become successful in their classes.
I have tutored friends and family throughout high school and college, and I really enjoy watching the people I tutor smile as they understand concepts that were previously really frustrating for them. I am now looking to continue my tutoring career and positively impact even more students.
I am a current student at NC State University studying mechanical engineering. Throughout High School and college, I have earned straight A's in all of my math courses that I am prepared to tutor in, and I scored a perfect 800 on my math portion of the SAT. I have taken many math classes at the AP and college level very recently, which makes me an ideal tutor for many of these subjects.

I first listen to the student to be able to see the full picture of the situation, what they need help with,etc. Then I figure out the best way to help that student based off of the situation. Usually, this means using example problems or analogies to help them grasp the concepts, and then letting the student try a few problems by themselves to prove mastery of the concept.
I have worked with all different types of students, in all classes ranging from algebra to calculus 3.
