About Analiese

I lived in Korea a total of 4 years. I have achieved the level 6 on the TOPIK (test of proficiency in Korean), the highest level of proficiency.

I love learning Korean and helping others discover their passion for the language as well! I came back to Michigan recently and want to assist more people in realizing their dreams of understanding K-dramas and K-Pop.

I can teach you to read and write Hangul, to understand spoken Korean and to be understood yourself.

Whether you're learning in order to go to Korea or just for fun, I can help!

I started teaching English in Korea three years ago. Throughout that time I tutored several friends in Korean.

I have learned Korean for the last four years. I achieved the highest level of proficiency on the Korean proficiency exam.

I have tutored several friends in Korean as well.

I am certified to teach ESL and have 3 years of professional experience teaching English in Korea. This requires a degree of understanding how the Korean language shapes the brain and how students think about things. The process for helping English speakers learn Korean is much the same.

About the lesson

I determine what a students goals are and create lessons to further that goal.

I evaluate prior knowledge to see how much the student knows and where they can start learning.

I have worked with children grades 3-6. I have also worked with adults.

If you're looking for a Korean teacher, it's best to find one who knows your experiences shape your learning.

Native Korean teachers and non-native Korean teachers are both incredibly helpful in learning, however a native speaker has never had to LEARN their language. A non-native teacher, however, has been exactly where you are at one point or another.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Determine why you want to learn Korean. That will be the biggest guide for us going forward.

I will charge a standard $15 an hour for 1:1, plus travel fee.
