About Maria
I am an experienced knitting teacher and am certified to teach knitting by The Knitting Guild Association (TKGA) and crochet by the Craft Yarn Council of America. My goal is to educate and preserve for future generations the appreciation of hand knitting and crochet as fiber arts that provide stress relief, are a creative outlet and provides a sense of accomplishment.
Since 2004 I’ve taught hundreds of people the crafts of knitting and crochet. While developing a well-organized teaching approach, creating effective lesson plans and fun methods of teaching basic to advanced techniques and sharpening my ability to tailor my teaching skills to fit the needs of all students I’ve learned that there’s no wrong way to learn and absolutely everyone can pick up these rewarding hobbies.
Whether you’re just learning to knit and crochet or you’ve been stitching since you were five... I can help you to expand your knowledge. I look forward to knitting and crocheting with you!
