About Megan

Hi!

I am a 24-year-old law student currently enrolled at Columbia University. I am working toward having my J.D. in International Law. I have a bachelor's in Political Science with a concentration in Public Law/American Politics and a minor in General Psychology. I graduated high school with an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma and was involved with the IB program for all four years of my high school career. Additionally, I speak 4 languages (German, Swedish, and English natively) and French with professional competency. I have worked for a U.S. Ambassador and the F.B.I. so I have a wide understanding of the U.S. Government/ American Politics and the history that follows.

I served as a teaching assistant in college aiding fellow students in various areas of Social Sciences including areas relating to politics, history, psychology, and data science. I have tutored high school and college-level students for 4 years and counting with success!

I myself have a history of Anxiety and ADHD/ADD, so I have a special understanding and way of catering my teachings to anyone with similar diagnoses :)

My style of teaching depends on YOU. Everyone has a different style of learning, so every aspect of my tutoring is catered to the specific needs of the client! I worked in retail for many years, so patience and high energy are my fortes.

I am able to tutor high school and college-level students seeking assistance in any of the following areas:

- American Government/Politics, American Law, Data Science (Research/Analysis), European History, U.S. History, History of the Americas, Psychology (General).

About the lesson

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, so it depends on your direct needs! I like to understand where the difficulties are and what the goal/desired outcome of the tutoring is. Once we have established those basics, I will create an integrated plan of action that will gauge improvement and competency.
