About Josh

I am the type of coach that will keep things fun!! Having fun is the most important thing when it comes to learning golf because it can be so frustrating to master. Additionally, I will use mechanics you are familiar with based on previous athletic experiences in order to improve your golf game. I've given multiple lessons to high schoolers throughout the greater Detroit Area who love my teaching style.

The game of golf is beautiful. It's the closest metaphor for life in sports. There are many lifelessons such as integrity, grit, and class which can be taught by the game.

Growing up I was instructed by Gary Robinson who played in multiple U.S. Open Championships. Additionally, he coached Brian Stuard (Jackson, MI) who has made over $10.5 million on the PGA Tour to date. Brian Stuard won the 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans in a playoff over An Byeong-hun and Jamie Lovemark.

I earned a golf scholarship to play at Lawrence Technological University in the Greater Detroit Area. I won multiple college tournaments throughout the country. Additionally, I regularly challenged for large Michigan Amatuer titles.

Following graudation in 2018, I pursued my Master's in Business Administration while coaching at Lawrence Tech University. This is where I learned to hone my coaching skills by applying what I have learned through hours of tireless practice.

In addition to in-person lessons, I also offer completely online instruction for an affordable rate where I can walk you through swing mechanics and give you drills to do. This can be as effective as in-person lessons because it allows you to better understand the "why" behind crisp golf swings.

Moreover, if you're a busy professional, I can keep lessons to 30 minutes or less.

I moved to the ChicagoLand Area in the Spring of 2020 and cannot wait to get you up and running!
