About Jane
I have loved helping people from ages 1-100 communicate for the last 12 years. I've worked in schools, hospitals, outpatient therapy, and private practice. I understand how difficult it can be to communicate, especially when there is a language difference. I am excited to use my skills to help you adjust your accent and be better understood.
I have a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education, specializing in speech-langauge pathology. I have been teaching people to articulate for 12 years in various settings.
I am a speech-language pathologist with 12 years of experience. I have informally helped people improve their accents, such as a student from Japan who lived with us for a month. I have spent the past 12 years working with kids to adults on communications skills and excel in articulation and phonological processes therapy. I am PROMPT trained, meaning that even if therapy is online, I will give you verbal and visual (and tactile) cues to help you understand how English sounds are made.

Initially, I like to get to know my students' hobbies, interests, and their reason for wanting accent reeducation lessons. I'll meet with my students and complete an articulation screening and conversation. We can do a complete standardized articulation assessment if needed.
