About Bruce
Bachelors degree in music education, master's degree in saxophone performance with additional study on flute, clarinet, and bassoon. Over 45 years experience teaching private lessons. Performance experience with the Cedar Rapids and Quad Cities Symphonies, Ringling Circus, and dance bands. Currently also teach at Kirkwood Community College. Woodwind instrument repair services, supplies, and sheet music available.
Lessons focus on achieving solid fundamentals of playing the instrument, reading skills, and basic music theory to aid success in any style of music.
I studied to be a school band director, didn't end up doing that, but I have been teaching private music lessons since my college days.
Bachelor's degree in music education, Master of Fine Arts degree in saxophone performance, including private study on flute, clarinet, and bassoon. I have over 45 years experience teaching private lessons to students ranging from beginners to college level.
