About Kaylynn
I am willing to do online and in-person lessons, however, due to safety online is preferred. With the transition to remote learning my students were still very successful and engaged and I understand how to work with different technology barriers.
I enjoy watching students succeed and feel proud of their achievements. Most importantly, I help students learn how to express themselves and this empowers them to be continuously successful.
I am a career changer who just completed the NYC Teaching Collaborative Program. The program is similar to Teaching Fellows but more intensive with a longer traning period. I teach Special Education ELA for students in middle school and high school and have experience with the transition to remote learning. I plan with Universal Design for Learning so I am confident that I can meet the needs of all my students.

When working with a new student, I like to get to know a little bit about them and what their interests are. Once we break the ice, I like to assess their skills and ask the students what their learning goals are. After we create goals, then we work on our plan to achieve them.
