About Molly

I am very passionate when it comes to literature and academic writing which motivates me to spark such enthusiasm in my students. I understand that English and literature are not subjects some find interesting, but I am here to help prove that with the correct tools, English-related prompts and assessments can be dealt with in a more manageable, enticing way.

Each student learns differently, which is why my lessons, lectures, and coursework depends on how a student understands materials best. Considering English is subjective to more than one type of learning style, I enjoy experiencing the individuality of each student I come across.

I got started teaching by discovering my love for literature and academic writing. Whenever I became a substitute teacher, the love only grew seeing as how I adore assisting and meeting new students.

I have been a substitute teacher for four years now. In addition, I am a current university student studying to become a Secondary English teacher. I also have an Associate's Degree in English education.

About the lesson

I start by getting to know my students by asking them questions about themselves as well as what they need help with, what materials they would like to touch base on, and how they learn best. Afterward, I will decide what we should start off with first and go from there.

I have worked with 6th to 12th graders with several different personalities, attention spans, social skills, learning techniques, and educational needs.

Find a teacher that is able to work at your learning pace. If somebody is willing to make you and your time their priority, then you will have a higher chance of learning.

Whenever I went to sub for a middle school, two students came up to me after their first hour and commented that I had "freshly-baked cookie" energy. It completely warmed my heart, made my day, and made me laugh.
