Experienced tutor in English in New York, Maria offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Maria is a supportive teacher and is very involved with her students' work. She helped me improve my writing skills at Boğaziçi University when I was taking Expository Writing.

As someone who has taken Maria's two courses on academic writing, I absolutely recommend her to everyone who wants to master in academic writing, and/or need a professional touch for drafts by a professional editor.
Although there were 20 freshmen whose native language is not English in our class, Maria meticulously worked with each of us and helped me a lot to formulate my vague ideas, express them concisely, and create a well-written final version of my work. While Maria was very generous and critical in her feedbacks, it is needless to say that she was always very encouraging and her comments & suggestions were very constructive. If you want to learn how to work independently on your own texts and receive solid training in academic writing, Maria is definitely one of the nicest people that you can work with. I feel very lucky for being exposed to her well-organized lectures and creative ideas in my first undergraduate year, which has been very useful throughout my academic career.
