About Fara

I graduated from Brandeis University in 2017 with a 3.9 GPA and a B.A. in International and Global Studies and East Asian Studies. I pursued a successful career in business strategy consulting for three years, which included a promotion to Senior Associate. I recently decided to resign from my job and focus on the law school application process. As I wait to begin my next phase in life, I am eager to provide students impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic with a reliable academic support system. I have worked with peers to build successful resumes, craft distinguished cover letters and graduate school personal statements, and achieve high grades on a variety of school writing assignments. I also have ample experience as a professional mentor. I believe proficiency in reading is the gateway to a successful future and am personally passionate about helping others reach tangible goals.

Honing one's study skills and/or academic abilities is all about remaining calm, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and instituting repetitive practices to gain muscle memory. I will work with your child in a collaborative environment through these steps to ultimately ensure their success.

I am an avid daily reader and have a personal passion for creative writing. I completed both the AP English Language and AP English Literature exams in high school. I was a member every semester of the Brandeis University's Deans List, which indicates my high academic performance. I have also lived and traveled abroad and taught English to elementary school students on many occasions.

About the lesson

I am a highly efficient and organized type-A individual. I am a huge fan of making homework schedules, to-do lists, and any other aid to keep my day running smoothly. I will work with my student to first develop a solid game plan for what needs to get accomplished, identify how we are going to reach these goals together, and then begin the actual work.
