About Nina

Connecting one on one with students and being able to get to know them is really important to me. I strive to build relationships with each of my students to fully understand their needs and help them accomplish their goals.

I find joy in teaching students and helping them grow in their academic skills. It is rewarding to see students accomplish their goals and reach their full potential. I always get excited when working with a new student because I know with hardwork and dedication they can accomplish anything. Throughout all my teaching years I have been very passionate about helping others achieve their goals.

I got started teaching because I have a passion for using my abilities to help others. I focus on students strengths as well as their weaknesses so that I know what they need to work on as well as what they arleady excel in.

I have worked as a Teacher's Assistant helping children with a wide range of abilities. I helped them practice basic skills such as reading, writing, art, and history. I have also worked as a Camp Counselor and Team Leader focusing on teaching kids not only to have fun interactions with one another but learn how to resolve conflicts, work as a team, and participate in a class or event even if it seems difficult to them. I also have experience working as a Sunday School Teacher teaching kids of different age groups and supporting them and their families.

About the lesson

When I begin working with a new student I like to first start off with getting to know them as well as allowing them to get to know me. I like to talk about their hobbies, study habits, and family or friends. I want my students to know that I am here to support them through their schoolwork as well as encourage them to participate in other activities.

I have worked with students with a wide range of abilities. I have taught classrooms, led camp activities, as well as worked one on one to support a single child who needed help. I have experience working with children of all ages, teenagers, and adults. The students I have worked with have always been appreciative of the amount of effort and support I put towards their needs.
