I needed to learn how to navigate the laws and regulations of special education when my son was diagnosed with a disorder that impacted his educational needs. I knew I wanted to learn all I could and I felt deep empathy to want to reach other students who were struggling. I know I could reach them, and only wanted to be a resource and a beacon of hope for the students as well as the parents. I’m very grateful that I can make a difference in someone’s life. It’s the best feeling ever.
