About Taylor
I enjoy what I study, and understand that it may not be easy. I believe no problem is too big, or unsolvable.
I genuinely enjoy working with students, and helping them make progress in their studies. When they make progress, I am proud, and when they struggle, I am ready to help them It's a passion of mine, and why I went into education.
I was inspired by my father, and decided to build a career in education!

First, finding the students strengths and weaknesses. Next, build a plan for them that directly addresses where they need support. Finally, I work through the course content with the student. I find it is most important to build comprehension skills as we learn, incorporating them into the lessons!
I have worked with elementary and middle schoolers. I have also worked in special needs classrooms!
I would advse them to find someone who is passionate about either the subject, or about tutoring & teaching in general. If there is no passion, the student potentially misses out on oppurtunities that come with someone who genuinely cares and is excited to help.
My favorite moment in my career as a tutor happened during the pandemic. I was working with a child who never liked reading, because she could never find anything interesting. I examined her reading level, and suggested we look at The Black Stallion together. She fell in love instantly!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should absolutely put their needs first. Their educational needs being addressed and fulfilled are paramount to their success. They should think about what they as the student can do first and foremost in addition to what their teacher can do.
