About Kellie
Being a teacher and tutor is fulfilling in that I am able to use my expertise to provide different learning strategies, or ways of thinking, to many concepts. Critical thinking and questioning tactics can be used to provide a deeper understanding of content. I can always provide a warm, welcoming, comfortable environment to learn in. I strongly encourage acceptance, growth, and learning from mistakes made.
I have been an elementary education teacher since 2001 in a private school in Los Angeles, CA and a public school in Brooklyn, NY. I have primarily worked with grades 1-3 in general & gifted and talented education. Over the years have consistently tutored privately many students from grades 2-8. I truly enjoy watching students grow and grasp concepts in a way that best fits their learning style.
