About Jeniyah

I've worked in a childcare setting for over 6 years and have worked with students from infancy to middle school age so I'm well-versed in how to break down concepts and complex topics so that they are easy to understand.

I am a current Senior at Columbus State University studying Fine Art with a minor in History.

I specialize in helping students needing help in English Language Arts, Essay Writing and Studio Art practices such Painting, Drawing and Graphic Design.

I spent my first out of highschool working for a local after school program and fell in love with working with young minds, helping develop new ways of approaching learning and giving more time to give individualized attention to students learning styles really opened my eyes to a different way of teaching outside of the regular school format.

4 years as an after school Teacher and Camp Counselor

2 years as Early Childhood Day Care Assistant Teacher

4th year Painting Major with a minor in History

I’ve been awarded and exhibited in 5 different gallery and traveling exhibitions in the Southeast U.S.A.

About the lesson

For art lessons I ask that students come with a goal in mind: what type of art are you wanting to create? Are you planning to be a fine artist or lean more towards commercial work (animation, graphic design, game art, etc.)

For essay writing and Language Arts help I ask students to bring me a piece of their previous research papers, essays or English assignments so I can build a lesson from there and have our sessions be more productive.

I’ve worked as an art instructor for k-12 students most of my young adulthood and have been helping with essay writing for college students for the past year and a half.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your precise problem areas? Go beyond just a particular subject you're struggling in and think about what topics or concepts that are giving you the hardest time.
What learning style best suits you? Are you a visual learning and want to include charts, illustrations, etc. in your tutoring experience or are you more hands on and need models and physical demonstrations to help you understand the topics at hand?
